Fun fact for the day: did you know… that for about 10 years, the US and Russia had an agreement and about 10% of the electricity in the US was from Russian nuclear bombs that had been taken apart. “Megatons to Megawatts” was a win-win for both countries–the US got energy for a good deal, and Russia got to get rid of those materials and get paid for them. Quite a unique collaboration. And quite a unique way to make something made for destruction into something useful.
One story in the Bible where we see that is in the story of Joseph. His brothers sold him to slavery in Egypt, but God had a plan for Joseph’s life all along.
20 It is true that you planned to do something bad to me. But really, God was planning good things. God’s plan was to use me to save the lives of many people. And that is what happened. 21 So don’t be afraid.
Genesis 50:20-21 (ERV)
God has a plan for your life. It may not always be what you think or want to happen, but trust your God to be faithful.
Dear Lord, Thank you for loving me. Forgive me when I doubt your plan and when I worry about things. Help me learn to trust you more. Amen.
